MES & Controls Engineer

Catalent is looking to recruit an MES & Controls Engineer to join a growing team in Woodstock, IL. The MES & Controls Engineer will be instrumental insupporting the development of existing and new automated manufacturing equipment within the facility from an IT perspective.  Additionally, the MES & Controls Engineer will be primarily responsible for serialized commercial product support. In concert with Catalent's Patient First philosophy, this role is paramount to ensure the efficacy and quality of our manufacturing processes which will ultimately yield safe drug products for patients. The Role Serve as the primary point of contact with Global IT for any server or system changes that could affect operations (Active directory, Systech Unitrace, label layout server, IP Address changes, etc.) Continuously monitor status of all lines to track serial number transfers and file uploads to identify trends or developing bottlenecks and other issues Work with global IT to ensure client's specifications for serial number provisioning and notifications have been properly communicated, tested, and validated Implement, test, and manage line level software configuration changes as required by the client, including company prefixes, GTIN and SSCC serial number caches, system recipes, and label layouts; onboard new clients and products in the IT system and line level serialization equipment Debug and troubleshoot IT interfaces between the equipment and servers such as MES systems that are not related to serialization Troubleshoot hardware and software issues at the line and Number Range Management System; support process improvements for serialization; and provide training to new operators, supervisors, and mechanics The Candidate Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related discipline 4-8 years of project engineering and/or IT experience; pharmaceutical or related industry preferred Strong relevant IT systems background is required with preferred Engineering and Serialization experience Familiarity with Optel and/or Systech Serialization solutions is highly desirable; familiarity with historian systems preferably OSI PI Historian servers (KEPServer) and software (e.g. Kepware ) is highly desirable Knowledge of TCP/IP and control networks (Ethernet IP, DH+, DeviceNet etc.) and databaseexperience (Microsoft SQL Server, Industrial SQL) highly desirable Knowledge of Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and/or other regulatory requirements preferred Must be able to provide technical support remotely and/or onsite outside of normal office hours; expected travel is 5-10% Catalent's standard leadership competencies that are used to interview and for Performance & Development Leads with Integrity and Respect Delivers Results Demonstrates Business Acumen Fosters Collaboration and Teamwork Champions Change Engages and Inspires Coaches and Develops Position Benefits Potential for career growth within an expanding Operations team Defined career path and annual performance review & feedback process Cross functional exposure to other areas of Quality and Production Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401K are all offered from day one of employment 19 days of paid time off annually + 7 paid holidays 0028309

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
