Sr. Project Engineer

The Senior Project Engineer will be instrumental in resource specifying, procuring, and implementing new equipment, automation, or facility upgrades in the Woodstock facility as well as identifying long-term and short-term goals to improve compliance and efficiency while reducing costs in all engineering disciplines.  The Senior Project Engineer will also provide guidance and mentoring to other members of the department. In concert with Catalent's Patient First philosophy, this role is paramount to ensure the efficacy and quality of our manufacturing processes which will ultimately yield safe drug products for patients. The Role Test and install new equipment for manufacturing; support equipment through validation, start-up, and continuous process improvement; and create drawings of all equipment tooling as well as package materials used in manufacturing Write and facilitate approval of user requirements, change control documents, design specifications, and acceptance test documents for equipment-based projects Compile equipment specifications from existing recent equipment projects and develop additional specifications where needed to develop a current specification library for typical equipment projects at the site Prepare requests for quotation based on User Requirements specifications for multiple bidders for equipment projects Define, describe, evaluate, and effectively communicate equipment requirements to both technical experts and non-technical audiences Develop strategic plans to improve manufacturing efficiency and reduce costs by providing automation solutions. The Candidate Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience Minimum 8 years relevant Engineering experience required; 10 years' experience preferred Proven experience in actively driving projects related to controls, equipment, automation, and facility construction Experience working in a cGMP controlled environment; knowledge of change control and validation highly desirable Experience with a variety of equipment in the pharmaceutical, food, or cosmetic industry (Equipment includes: pouching equipment, cartoners, labeling equipment, scanners, vision systems and other automated equipment) Ability to travel up to 10% of the time to perform Factory Acceptance Testing and/or identify appropriate equipment Flexibility to provide periodic phone and/or in-person engineering support after work hours and weekends to our 24x7 operations Catalent's standard leadership competencies that are used to interview and for Performance & Development Leads with Integrity and Respect Delivers Results Demonstrates Business Acumen Fosters Collaboration and Teamwork Champions Change Engages and Inspires Coaches and Develops Position Benefits Potential for career growth within an expanding Operations team Defined career path and annual performance review & feedback process Cross functional exposure to other areas of Quality and Production Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401K are all offered from day one of employment 19 days of paid time off annually + 7 paid holidays 0029092

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
