6 months contract, $ 40.00 an hour

Responsibilities:
The position is responsible for specifying, procuring, and implementing new equipment in the facility.
This position will have a strong focus on packaging equipment.
Specific Duties, Activities, and
Responsibilities:
Specify, procure, and install new equipment for manufacturing. Support equipment through validation, start-up, and continuous process improvement.
Create drawings of all packaging equipment tooling as well as package materials used in manufacturing.
Act as key resource in troubleshooting packaging issues in manufacturing.
Develop strategic plans to improve manufacturing efficiency and reduce costs by providing automation solutions.
Up to 10% travel required to perform Factory Acceptance Testing and/or identify appropriate equipment. Maintain effectiveness of the Quality System. Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
Minimum 5 years Equipment Engineering experience required
Six Sigma / Lean Manufacturing / Professional Project Management skills a plus.
Ability to stand for up to 10 hours per day.
May be required to work in environments or under conditions that require the use of protective gear and/or awareness of personal safety and safety of others
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
