Being a self-starter, paying attention to detail, reliability and multi-tasking are a must.
Weekends and some Holidays are required.
Responsibilities:
- Provide daily care and attention to animals in the kennel facility - Feed, water, and exercise animals according to their specific needs - Clean and sanitize kennels, cages, and common areas - Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinary staff - Monitor the health and behavior of animals and report any concerns to the supervisor - Assist with grooming, bathing, and basic grooming tasks as needed - Maintain accurate records of animal care, including feeding schedules, medications, and any observed changes in behavior or health
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in pet care or animal handling is preferred - Knowledge of basic animal care and nutrition- Ability to handle animals of various sizes and temperaments safely and with compassion - Strong customer service skills for interacting with pet owners and addressing their concerns - Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision - Physical stamina to perform tasks that may involve heavy lifting or prolonged periods of standing or walking Job Type:
