JOB SUMMARY The City of Woodstock is accepting INTERNAL and EXTERNAL applications for a full-time Plant Operator I at the Wastewater Treatment Plant with the Public Works Department.
This position is responsible to perform intermediate skilled work in the maintenance and repair of specialized machinery and equipment in a wastewater treatment plant and does related work as required.
The work is performed under the supervision of the Wastewater Treatment Superintendent.

Monday - Friday, 7:
00am - 3:
30pm with rotating weekends.
The position also requires after hours call-ins via an overtime rotation list.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma/equivalent with prior responsible work experience; or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities.
Class 4 Wastewater Certification within eighteen (18) months from date of hire.
A valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record for eligibility of City coverage.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Class 3 or Class 2 Wastewater Certification.
SALARY Starting pay rate is $29.
33 per hour in accordance with the Local 150 Union contract.
Position includes eligibility for full benefits package of group health insurance, benefit time, and IMRF retirement plan.
